Over five days, we’ll blend classroom learning, outdoor experience, and site visits. We’ll spend time with the Maay Uuyow book and talk about the research behind it, how to teach this material — even when the stars aren’t visible — and how to make it meaningful for different audiences. (Youth/ Elders/ Visiting Tribes) Everyone who completes the course will receive a Certificate of Completion and a small presentation kit to help carry the teachings home. 

The course is open to Kumeyaay/Diegueño/Ipai/Tipai and tribal descendants, ages 18 and up, with priority given to those who are ready to share what they learn with community. Kids/Teens are welcome to accompany their adult taking the course!
